Ich beginne wieder mit dem gesicherten Spielstand und lege Schlüssel, Nahrungs­mittel und Flasche in den Tiefen 1 bis 3 ab.

Bis zur Tiefe 3 scheint alles ausge­forscht.

Bis auf eine sind alle Sackgassen unscheinbar durch kleine Quadrate an den normalen Räumen verzeichnet. Diese wiederum sind in englischer Sprache alle gleich beschrieben, doch auf deutsch sind es zwei verschiedene Meldungen:

LGK: DU BIST IN EINEM LABYRINTH VON LAUTER GLEICHEN KLEINEN GAENGEN.
LV:  DU BIST IN EINEM LABYRINTH MIT LAUTER VERSCHIEDENEN GAENGEN.

Leider sind die Eintragungen zwischen dem Rand der Grube und dem Schatz mangel­haft. Es sind nicht drei Räume LGK sondern nur zwei LV. Dadurch ist sein Weg durch das Labyrinth um einen Schritt zu lang.

Heute wird es wieder langweilig, denn ich will die Höhle nur wenig tiefer erfor­schen, auch wenn es schneller zum Ziel führen mag, gleich in der Tiefe nach dem Schatz zu suchen.

Der unerforschte Rest erfordert zwar noch mehr als einen Ausflug bishe­riger Länge, doch könnte es gut sein, daß der Schatz bald gefunden wird.

Mit OUT bezeichnet sind in alle Richtungen erforschte Räume, die mit „Dead End“ beschrieben werden und mit OUT verlassen werden können.

Gegenüber der gestrigen Wanderung hat das Laby­rinth einen Schritt an Tiefe einge­büßt. Wohin ich gestern nach dem Einstieg nur mit Süd und Nord gelangte, kam ich heute mit einem einzigen Schritt Rich­tung Osten. Im oberen rechten Teil wird sich nicht viel abspielen. Dennoch werde ich ihn morgen einmal abgrasen und dann langsam in die Tiefe vordringen, wo vermutlich der Pirat seine Schatzkiste versteckt hat.

Es sieht so aus, als hätte ich die meisten Stellen des Labyrinths betreten und könnte mich mit ein paar Gegen­ständen orien­tieren, um irgendwo die Schatz­kiste des Piraten zu finden. Auf die Himmelsrichtungen ist keine Rücksicht genommen. Vielmehr bedeutet nach unten weiter vom Eingang weg und vermutlich näher an die Schatz­kiste heran. Auf dem Rand der Räume sind die zehn Haupt­rich­tungen vermerkt. Sie verschwinden, sobald sie als unbegehbar erkannt sind oder zum Raum selbst zurück­führen. Geht es woanders hin, wandert die Bezeich­nung an den zuge­hörigen Weg.

Immerhin sind die Punkte trotz des Diebstahles geblieben. Verhin­dern kann man ihn wahr­schein­lich nicht, weshalb ich die Schatz­kiste finden muß. Dazu ist wohl das Laby­rinth zu erfor­schen. Alle Jahre wieder stelle ich mir die Frage, weshalb Fron­leich­nam gefei­ert wird und was dieses Fest mit dem zu tun hat, was die Katho­liken an diesem Tage so treiben, näm­lich ihren Popanz Mon­stranz allen zu zei­gen. Das ist eine Unsitte, die gleich nach der des Durch­strei­chens von Text kommt.

Es sind die üblichen 57 Punkte (zwei Grundpunkte, dreimal 10 für unverbrauchte Leben, 25 für das Eindringen in die Höhle) und jeweils zwei für die Sichtung der Schätze, nämlich der Münzen und des Teppichs.

Das Labyrinth ist nicht sehr groß oder vertrakt, weshalb man durch zufäl­liges Rumlaufen bald an den Ausgang zurück oder sogar zum Auto­maten kommt. Wenn man sich aber überall viel Zeit läßt, dann werden die Batte­rien wirklich erforderlich, denn nach 330 Be­we­gungen im Schein der Lampe heißt es:

Your lamp is getting dim.  You'd best start wrapping this up, unless
you can find some fresh batteries.  I seem to recall there's a vending
machine in the maze.  Bring some coins with you.

Und wer dann keine Batterien hat, muß sich schnell welche beschaffen oder ans Tages­licht, denn sonst droht der Tod:

There's not much point in wandering around out here, and you can't
explore the cave without a lamp.  So let's just call it a day.

Batterien und Ausgang müssen also schneller gefunden werden. Besser ist es wohl, das Laby­rinth ganz zu meiden und fertig zu werden, bevor die Lampe erlischt. Wer gerne endlos umher­läuft statt erneut zu beginnen, also mit diesen 330 Schrit­ten nicht auskommt, der kann die Anzahl auf 1000 erhöhen, indem er auf die Eingangs­frage mit YES antwortet und sich die Hilfe anzeigen läßt. Nur kommt er dann nicht mehr auf die volle Punkt­zahl, weil für jeden Hinweis Punkte abge­zogen werden. Wer noch länger in der Höhle bleiben möchte, muß seine Münzen für die Batte­rien opfern. Mit RUB LAMP an der Lampe zu reiben, hilft nicht.

Eigentlich kommt man leicht aus dem Laby­rinth mit den lauter verschie­denen Gängen heraus, weil alle Posi­tionen anders beschrieben werden. Ohne den Raum mit dem Auto­maten sind es elf Posi­tionen.
